» Old oratory at Fałek

Two brothers, Kazimierz and Jan Pytlewski, being dedicated native millers, formed a partnership in April 1930, and initiated the building of a mill and the first electric power station. This mill and the adjoining house were put to good use in 1932. During the war and post war period, this modern mill in Wloszczowo suffered a varied course of events. . In the period 1946-1992 it came virtually under state control only to be returned to its rightful owners in 1993. The mill was sold off in 1996.

Remembering millers reunions in years gone by which took place on the feast of St.Martin, Krystyna and Lucjan Pytlewski invited the Family to attend the subsequent meeting in Wloszczowa. We expected about 100 people to attend, however so many persons showed an interest in this meeting that we had to close the list at 150 chiefly due to limited accommodation. A further meeting was organized for those left out. Guests began to arrive early in the morning on the 11th September 2004 at the appointed place near the mill. The weather was superb. The host, Lucian, arranged the tables in the orchard under the apple trees, although we had lunch in a restaurant. In contrast to other meetings, this time the Pytlewski family formed a large group coming from many corners of Poland, as well as from Germany and France. With great joy we welcomed a recently tracked down large branch of the Radwan-Pytlewski family, as well as Pytlewski members from Skarzysko. The Konopacki representatives included family members from Skierniewice, who were attending such a gathering for the first time. A fairly large area near Lucian?s house barely held all the cars of the visitors who numbered 168 persons!

Participants of this gathering eagerly studied the 11 metres long wall charts, displayed on the barn annex walls, depicting the genealogical tree of the Konopacki and Pytlewski families as well as their relations, the Michalowski family. At the previous gatherings the main topic of conversation was the Konopacki Family. This time further information about the Pytlewskis was incorporated and plans for an internet website was introduced; this can now be viewed on the internet.

We observed with pleasant surprise a large spit-roaster being erected for roasting delicious sausages made for us by local butchers. Lucian kindled the log fire with great expertise and in due course four gentlemen, who in normal life are not involved in gastronomic matters, proceeded to serve us with these delicacies. Later that evening a large bonfire was lit. A row of poles erected by Scoutmaster Lucian, surrounded the bonfire . The assembled family sat in a half-circle, and to the accompaniment of cracking sparks flying out of the fire the evening singsong began, truly magical moments. It was decided that the next gathering should be a two-day affair in order to prolong such delightful experiences.
